Best Driving Music...Suggestions Please!

Postby beachy on Mon Jul 06, 2009 9:45 pm

I know that this post would be happier in one of the playlist sections but I just dont want to limit it to one genre of music so I have added it here!

As you can probably tell from the post title I want to gather together the best driving tracks. Yes, I know that there are hundreads of best driving albums out there but I want to hear what users here think! Being a massive fan of Top Gear (btw loving the new series!) I have already invested in their CD but want something different!

Alot of you will have noticed a major flaw in my proposal (You cant get spotify on the move yet!) but it is a great way to share music and most of us can transfer the suggestions to iTunes for our iPods and iPhones!

No limits of genre or track length just make sure they are great tracks which let you enjoy your car the road and nothing else!

Ok, you have to have one rule: it has to be on Spotify!

Take it easy guys!

Mostly I listen to recorded books when I drive. I like books with an edge.
But sometimes I like to listen to Bob Dylan or Willie Nelson when I drive.
Sometimes I like to listen to Jazz.

I've gotten into Neu! recently after hearing around a mates house. Neu! if I'm not wrong rose from the ashes of Kraftwerk. Their music is fantastic for driving to; you get an album with about four songs on it and each song lasts about 12 minutes or so. Bonkers stuff if you're into early synth music and what I reckon could be early stabs at trance music, but to my ears much easier to listen to.
